Responsible Gaming
This page explains how we help you keep gambling an enjoyable pastime rather than a problem, which safer gambling tools you can switch on in your account, and where to find free and confidential help. It applies to everyone who holds an account with Magical Vegas Casino.

Our commitment to you
Gambling is a form of entertainment. It is not a way to earn money, to pay off debts or to solve financial problems. Every game we offer is built so that, over time, the house keeps a share of the money staked, so you should always expect to lose what you stake. We ask you to treat the money you spend with us as the price of the entertainment, in the same way you would treat the cost of a cinema ticket or a meal out.
Before you play, decide how much you can afford to lose and how long you want to play for. Keep that budget separate from the money you need for rent, bills, food and other commitments. Never borrow money to gamble, never chase a loss by staking more than you planned, and stop as soon as a session stops being enjoyable.
Our services are for adults aged 18 or over only. We hold a gaming licence and we check the identity, age and address of every account holder, both when an account is opened and at later points in its life. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it, void any winnings and return the deposits made.
Our customer service team is trained to notice signs that play may be causing harm and to point you towards the tools and organisations set out below. Where we believe your gambling may be causing you difficulty, we may contact you, ask you to set limits, remove you from promotional messaging, restrict parts of your account or close it.
The tools in your account
Every account includes a set of safer gambling controls. You can switch them on at any time in the safer gambling area of your account, and you never have to give us a reason for doing so. Tightening a control takes effect straight away; loosening or removing one takes effect only after a cooling-off period, so that a decision made in the moment cannot undo a decision you made calmly.
| Tool | What it does | How it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps how much you can pay in | Daily, weekly or monthly, as you choose |
| Loss limit | Caps your net losses over a period | Counts stakes less winnings in the period |
| Session limit | Caps how long a single session lasts | You are signed out when the time is up |
| Reality check | Shows how long you have been playing | A message at the interval you set |
| Time-out | Short break from play | Account locked for the period chosen |
| Self-exclusion | Longer break from play | Account closed to play for the term chosen |
Deposit, loss and session limits
A deposit limit is the simplest way to stay inside a budget: once you reach the amount you have set, no further payment will go through until the period resets. A loss limit works on the net position of your play rather than on what you pay in. A session limit ends your play after a set length of time. You may hold all three at once, and you can choose the periods and the amounts from the options shown in your account.
Reality checks and time-outs
A reality check is an on-screen message that interrupts play at the interval you choose and tells you how long you have been playing. You can carry on or close the session from that message. A time-out is a short break: for the period you select, you cannot deposit or play, although you can still sign in to withdraw a balance and to contact us. Your account reopens automatically when the time-out ends.
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion is a longer and firmer break. When you self-exclude, we close your account to play for the term you choose, remove you from all marketing, and take reasonable steps to stop you opening another account with us during that term. A self-exclusion cannot be cancelled early. When it ends, the exclusion stays in place until you ask us to lift it and a further cooling-off period has passed. Any balance in your account is returned to you.
How to switch a tool on
- Sign in and open the safer gambling area of your account.
- Choose the tool you want: a limit, a reality check, a time-out or self-exclusion.
- Select the amount, interval or length of time from the options shown.
- Confirm your choice; tighter settings apply immediately.
- If you cannot find a setting, ask us on live chat or at support@casinomagicalvegas.co.uk and we will apply it for you.
Signs that gambling may be causing harm
Problem gambling develops gradually, and it is often easier for other people to see than for the person affected. The points below are a short checklist. The more of them you recognise in your own play, the stronger the reason to set a limit, take a time-out or speak to one of the organisations named in the next section.
- You spend more money or more time gambling than you intended.
- You gamble to win back money you have already lost.
- You gamble with money set aside for bills, rent or other commitments.
- You borrow money, sell belongings or use credit to fund your play.
- You hide how much you gamble, or lie about it to family or friends.
- You feel restless, anxious or irritable when you try to cut down.
- Gambling gets in the way of work, study, sleep or relationships.
- You gamble to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or low mood.
- You feel guilt or regret after playing but go back soon afterwards.
- Someone close to you has told you they are worried about your gambling.
Where to get help
Several organisations in the United Kingdom offer free, confidential advice and treatment to people affected by gambling, including friends and family members. You can contact them directly, without telling us and without closing your account.
- GambleAware is a charity that funds and signposts free advice, treatment and information for anyone harmed by gambling, their own or someone else's.
- GamCare provides free counselling, group sessions and practical tools for people who want to control or stop their gambling, and for those close to them.
- GamStop is a free scheme that lets you self-exclude, with a single registration, from all online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.
- The National Gambling Helpline offers confidential advice at any hour of the day, by telephone and by live chat, from trained advisers who can refer you for treatment.
You can also speak to your GP, who can refer you to local treatment services, and to a free debt advice service if gambling has left you with money worries. If you would like us to apply a limit, start a time-out or self-exclude you while you get support, contact us on live chat or at support@casinomagicalvegas.co.uk and we will act on your request.
Protecting children and young people
It is an offence for anyone under 18 to gamble, and we take steps to keep minors out. We check the age and identity of every applicant before an account can be used in full, we ask for documents where a check cannot be completed electronically, and we repeat checks where something about an account suggests they are needed.
Most of the risk, though, sits on the devices people share at home. The steps below reduce the chance of a child reaching a gambling site using your details.
- Keep your username, password and payment details private, including from family members.
- Sign out fully when you finish playing, and do not let a browser or app store your password.
- Lock your computer, tablet and phone with a PIN, password or biometric lock.
- Install parental control or filtering software, which can block gambling sites on a device or across a home network.
- Use the parental controls built into your operating system, browser and app stores to restrict installations and purchases.
- Talk to children about gambling, including the games and loot boxes they meet in apps and video games.
If you believe someone under 18 has used your account or opened one of their own, tell us immediately on live chat or at support@casinomagicalvegas.co.uk so that we can look into it and close the account.
